Let America Vote’s field teams are on the ground in five states, knocking doors every day to make the case for pro-democracy candidates. From Georgia to New Hampshire to Iowa, voter suppression is on the march, with politicians disenfranchising eligible voters just so they can win elections.

We’re fighting back by talking one-on-one with voters and helping to elect voting-rights champions up and down the ballot.

This weekend, we’re stepping up our game with our Fall GOTV Door-Knocking Competition, when volunteers in our five states will compete to reach the most voters. It’s going to be a blast, and it’s going to make a real difference for our candidates.

We know because we’ve done it before: we held our first ever door-knocking competition last summer and, well, just look what happened.

Celebrity team captains cheered on our teams and even talked a little smack.

Our teams had great conversations at the doors — and posted a few door-knocking selfies along the way.

One of our candidates, Jennifer Konfrst in Iowa, even joined in on the action!

After a weekend full of door-knocking and voter contact, the winner was announced.

Iowa won our Summer Door-Knocking Competition by more than 3,000 points!

In total, our five states knocked on over 18,000 doors and signed up 254 canvass shifts thanks to a team of 143 interns and volunteers.

Now the fall contest is upon us, and all five field offices will to go head-to-head once again. Will Iowa go two-for-two? Will Nevada sweat out a victory? Will Georgia emerge as the dark horse?
